Organizational Wellness: Team-Care in Challenging Times
June 23

DESCRIPTION
Healthcare and education professionals often give the most to their patients or students, and the least to themselves. Join Tyecia and Susan on June 23 to get discussion tools and strategies that interrupt this cycle.
Tyecia Powell and Susan Comfort are trainers who combine lived experience with brain science and wellness best practices. This session will focus on what they call “team-care” wellness, because individuals who nurture others are often not great at self-care. Nonprofit Wellness combines energy, experience, science, art, and a sense of humor through Team-Care activities that are equal parts fun, engaging, and instructive.
The session will help establish a space and priority for discussing and supporting well-being at work. By turning self-care into team-care, staff can nurture cultures of well-being that build relationships (and retain talent).
AUDIENCE
The session is intended for those that work in schools, nonprofits, or any service settings in the healthcare world. Anyone who works in a service-oriented role who experiences stress and burnout related to their work can benefit.
This session would benefit anyone within an organization. Leaders and all types of staff are encouraged to join. The session will be particularly beneficial if part or all of a team within an organization attends together.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
- Understand best practices of team-care
- Determine effective pathways for team trust-building
