This Issue Brief provides support for schools and districts to identify populations, leverage existing data sources, and analyze and share results of data. This Issue Brief is designed to support health equity, a key Project AWARE goal.
Each family is unique, leaving its members to be the only ones to define it – in their way, from their culture and through their truth. For children and youth with mental health needs, the definition is often complicated by circumstances that propel their journey among various living arrangements. The following resources are provided to highlight the unique needs of today’s diverse families.
The tool consists of an instructional workbook and assessment that can be used when engaging in decision-making and policy development. The goal of the assessment is to increase awareness of determinants of health for the population(s) of focus, potential impacts, mitigation strategies to consider, ways to measure success, and strategies for sharing outcomes and recommendations.
