MODULE 3: INDIGENOUS & FIRST PEOPLES
In Module 3, the focus is on Indigenous father figures and fatherhood. For millennia, Indigenous cultures and communities around the world have beautifully woven fathers and father figures into the fabric of rituals, community and the passing down of wisdom. In this module, interviews with several Indigenous leaders, as well as a host of resources, provide us with a rich and vibrant reorientation towards father figures as elders and wisdom keepers.
A Note about Mentimeter
We believe in the wisdom of crowds, and participatory research. As such, throughout this curriculum, we have embedded questions where you will be able to submit your answers via Mentimeter, an online tool used for polling. Mentimeter allows us to garner answers from the different kinds of practitioners who engage with our curriculum. We encourage you to take the time to submit your answers to questions to our Mentimeter. By doing so, you contribute to a growing body of knowledge and you join a group of father engagement practitioners pooling their wisdom together. Your perspectives will help us to deepen our understanding, further our research, and enhance the training we offer.
