Join NTTAC to explore innovative ways of serving our communities!

Please join NTTAC for a free, hour-long webinar featuring Certified Peer Counselor Evelyn Clark and motivational teacher, mentor, and advocate Javen Pitt.

The presenters will discuss “non-traditional” strategies and approaches for maintaining mental health and well-being outside of “traditional” clinical approaches, and they will provide insights for how one might implement those strategies in their own work/life. During the Q&A, audience members are encouraged to ask questions of the featured speakers about the presentation’s topic or anything else related to their mental health services and work.

Event Facilitators

Evelyn Clark is a Mexican-Native American woman who is passionate about racial equity, leadership development, and peer support. She has nearly 14 years of experience serving young people and their families who were system involved. Evelyn is also a Certified Peer Counselor. She has dedicated her career to empowering young people and their families to get involved in this work. She is a proud recipient of the 2019 Peer Alternatives youth and young adult leadership award. Evelyn’s mission is to end racial and ethnic disparities within systems of care and to promote leadership opportunities for the BIPOC workforce.

Javen Pitt is  a motivational teacher, mentor, and advocate for men’s mental health. Growing up a PK (Preacher’s Kid), Javen has dealt with his own set of difficult issues throughout his life. Because of this, he is able to relate with the situations that are hurting males across our nation. He consults with men to assist them in amplifying their communication skills, connections, and confidence to be able to make an influential impact in their community. He is also currently mentoring the troubled youth in the community, guiding them to effectively strengthen their core values and elevate their purpose to new heights, hoping that this would assist them in making different life choices.
